Our therapeutic riding program offers adaptive horseback riding lessons led by
certified instructors who specialize in working with individuals of all abilities. These
lessons are tailored to each rider’s unique needs and goals, focusing on building
physical strength, improving balance, and coordination and enhancing motor skills.
Beyond the physical benefits, therapeutic riding also promotes emotional
well-being by boosting self-esteem, fostering independence, and creating a sense of
connection with the horse. Riders often experience increased confidence and joy as
they develop new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Therapeutic Riding is our largest program serving nearly 70 riders a week from 8
surrounding counties. We offer 31 adaptive riding lessons per week over a 27-week
season.
We have community partners with surrounding organizations such as:
- Homeschool groups
- Public schools
- Private Schools
- A New Leaf, Owasso
- And Many more
Schools and Community Groups: Bit by Bit partners with schools and community groups to work toward goals like developing social skills, confidence, and academic engagement.
“After years of physical, occupational, and speech therapy, Jace
was just done and burnt out. He would become defiant and aggressive when we would arrive for those therapy sessions. We had to stop everything for his safety and the safety of others and for his own mental health. Since finding Bit by Bit, Jace has been able to utilize equine therapeutic riding as an alternative for all the other therapies he no longer wanted to participate in. He is able to strengthen his core muscles, work on balance, work on listening and following directions along with engaging socially with the staff and volunteers. Jace is always excited to go to Bit by Bit and truly enjoys the whole experience! We love our Bit by Bit family!”
